This test is done to find out if the person is infected by Covid 19 Virus. No special preparation is required. We give the viral load using RT PCR method. We use a swab to get a sample of mucus or secretions from deep in your nose. PCR is then used to determine if genetic material (RNA) of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID) is present in your sample.

Why should I do the CBC Test ?
Ideally any test should be done on advise of doctor. However, CBC is a general test that can be done on your own as well. Incase you are having fever which is not improving even after 3 days of taking anti-pyretic medicine like Paracetamol then a CBC test may be done to rule out any infection. A doctor may also prescribe the test for initial diagnosis of any infection, cancer or any kind of anemia.
